Stage 7: Desert - Rosarito Nuevo - ca.80km

This stage will mark the change of mountain terrain with cold(er) temperatures to warmer flat parts of Baja California. A rather easy stage with only moderate climbs and usually good winds. 

• One of the first things, you will notice today is probably the temperature change, once you leave the mountains behind and get closer to Rosarito Nuevo. 
• There are no bigger hills on this stage and the roads are as usual: small roads without shoulders, but quite good pavement. Only getting into Rosarito Nuevo will be on really bad pavement/sand. But this is just a very short stretch. 
• at km point 25 (Juarez): short and steep climb followed by a nice downhill part where you can try to reach your speed record.
• Punta Prieta, after ca. 38km: some stores to get water and food, but not very well stocked. Don't go to Jessica's Restaurant: bad food, bad service. Trust me!
• km point 42 (Santo Dominguito): another short hill that is as steep as the last one, also followed by a enjoyable downhill part.
• The remaining of the stage is all flat until Rosarito Nuevo. To get into town, you have to leave the highway and ride on sandy roads. One store in the centre of the town, where you will find the most important things. 

Stage 7: Desert - Rosarito Nuevo
