- just avert a couple of minutes you will already face the first climb of the day. No time for your muscles to warm up.
- after the first climb, you will have a flat part with only some minor hills. Be aware of the dogs along the road. They really like bike tourist calfs! :)
- After 63km: another climb to get into Mulegé. Not steep as usual, but in the afternoon sun it can be demanding.
- Mulegé: supermarkets and hotels. Stock up your supply if you decide to camp at the beach for some days. The mini supers in town will be a well priced option for you. Don't buy things along the Highway as it will be a lot more expensive.
- Leaving Mulegé: one climb just leaving town, followed by another 3 climbs after 15km. The last one at least rewards you with a nice downhill part.
- ca. 20km after Mulegé: Playa Santispac. Beach with unfortunately many RVs and a gate but nice views and beautiful sand.
- another 1km down the road: Playa Escondida. A more undiscovered beach, but you have to ride/push your bike along a gravel road that leads to this place. Not very nice sand, but not many tourists and if you are lucky, you can see the bioluminescent plankton in the night.
- Ca. 3 km after Playa Escondida you find El Coyote, a small village with a restaurant and a mini super along the Highway.
- During the whole stage, pavement will be good with - again - no shoulders. By now, you will have got used to it, do you?
